Gustavo Hofman writes for ESPN in Brazil that Real submitted their most recent offer to Vinicius shortly after the World Cup, offering him around €22m annually, a slight increase on their previous offer to him. But that amount is still far from what Vinicius is asking for, which is approximately €30m. As a result, Real are considering selling if the upcoming contract negotiations fail to make any progress. Vinicius is open to lowering his demands, but the main point of contention is a proposed renewal bonus, which Real have shown no willingness to pay. Key figures in Madrid are in favour of a sale this month if no agreement is reached, and though new head coach Jose Mourinho is a fan of Vinicius, club president Florentino Perez will have the final say on a potential transfer. Let’s go!” But the agency president later clarified he was simply attending Roc Nation Sports International’s headquarters in London, with no suggestion he was making a trip to the Emirates Stadium or London Colney.
