PSG’s summer of sales has been intense – and it’s now time to start buying again. One noted target is Barcelona attacker Ferran Torres, and transfer journalist Matteo Moretto has just dropped a very positive update about his situation and the progress of the deal. While no bid is in, it seems the groundwork is being laid by the Parisians. PSG close in on signing Ferran Torres – but still haven’t made first bid “Ferran Torres is aware that PSG is a real possibility to join this summer. I believe PSG can make a bid worth €40-45 million, but I’m not aware of the final figure yet,” Moretto said on Marca’s transfer radio show. “The idea they have in Paris is that the player won’t join Barça’s preseason on August 12, but what is missing at this moment is the offer from PSG.” It could be that PSG are waiting to wrap up other deals first, or that they’re working on personal terms with Torres before an official offer goes in. Either way, this one is sounding increasingly likely to happen. In other news… Mika Godts is apparently close to a move to PSG as the Parisians look to start stocking up in attacking following a string of departures. PSG are now in “official” talks with Liverpool over the potential deal for Bradley Barcola – although there’s no sign they’re anywhere close to a deal.
