McAidoo came on at halftime and showed why he is so highly regarded at the club. McAidoo’s performance was good enough to suggest that he could play a role in Enzo Maresca’s squad. Up next for Manchester City is their second friendly on the Asian tour. Enzo Maresca’s side will take on the K-League All-Stars at the Seoul World Cup Stadium later today. Unfortunately, Ryan McAidoo won’t play due to a minor injury. Perhaps that stage is set for another of Manchester City’s youngsters to make an impression. Ryan McAidoo has been ruled out of today’s friendly against the K-League All-Stars but his injury isn’t a major concern. Enzo Maresca faced the media yesterday ahead of Manchester City’s friendly against the K-League All-Stars. The Manchester City manager praised the level of talent in the City academy system. However, he also revealed that Ryan McAidoo would miss today’s match due to a minor shoulder injury. Speaking on Manchester City’s young players, and Ryan McAidoo’s injury, Maresca said: “ We have many young players with us, and in the last game against Inter some of them played some minutes. ” “ Ryan McAidoo was good but even the rest. Unfortunately, McAidoo will be out tomorrow because he has a small problem with his shoulder – nothing important. ” “ Always City’s Academy has good players, it is exciting because of that. ” Another one of the Manchester City youngsters could impress in Seoul today. It is a shame that Ryan McAidoo will miss today’s match against the K-League All-Stars. McAidoo showed everything that he is capable of on the right wing against Inter Milan. In a way, McAidoo has laid out his path to the Manchester City first team. If he could have built upon that display today, his case to be a member of Enzo Maresca’s squad for next season would almost have been rock solid. The good news is that McAidoo’s injury isn’t serious and hopefully he can play against Atletico Madrid this upcoming Sunday. However, perhaps today’s friendly is an opportunity for another one of Manchester City’s youngsters to impress. Ryan McAidoo will not play today for Manchester City against the K-League All-Stars. Fortunately, McAidoo’s shoulder injury isn’t considered to be serious.
