Within the last hour, Fabrizio Romano has Tweeted out that PSG are making more steps towards adding a very promising young player in a position they need an update. The transfer guru reports that the Parisians are “set to improve their bid” for Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki. Their opening offer was €28m, plus add ons. The new offer has a “different structure,” and “also includes add ons.” PSG have odd Lucas Chevalier / Suzuki proposal for Juventus There’s more depth to this too – PSG bought Lucas Chevalier as their first choice goalkeeper last season, but it didn’t work out. They have reportedly offered the stopper to Juventus, who are “not keen.” That’s created an odd opportunity, according to Romano: PSG could buy Suzuki and then loan him Juventus. We’re not sure who that helps. Why would it help PSG to add another goalkeeper who isn’t actually going to play in their first team? And why would Juventus want a goalkeeper they can’t keep if he does well? If it’s a question of development, would Juventus want someone that PSG don’t think is ready for them? In other news… There are now direct talks between PSG and Bayer Leverkusen over the potential move of a youngster to the Bundesliga. PSG have been quoted €65m for a potentially key addition to the squad this summer, and a move could come together very quickly.
