Real Madrid exodus poised to continue as Lille eye midfielder deal
Real Madrid exodus poised to continue as Lille eye midfielder deal Real Madrid have already parted ways with several players this summer, and there is sure to be further departures before the transfer window closes. This week, La Fabrica graduates Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios moved to Fulham , and others are set to follow them out of the Bernabeu exit door, knowing that they do not count for head coach Jose Mourinho. Thiago Pitarch could also be set to join Fulham , while another La Fabrica midfielder that may be on the move this summer is Jorge Cestero. The 20-year-old, who featured five times for Real Madrid last season, is another that has no place at the Bernabeu, given that he’s considered too good for Castilla but not good enough for the first team. An exit makes sense for Cestero, and according to Matteo Moretto , he could end up in France. Lille have lined him up as a replacement for Ayyoub Bouaddi, who looks set to join Manchester City as a possible successor to leading Real Madrid target Rodri. Lille move would suit Cestero well Ligue 1 was a happy hunting ground for Endrick during his Lyon loan spell last season, so a move for Cestero to France would be looked upon well by Real Madrid. At this stage, no club-to-club talks have taken place, although when they do happen, it’s unlikely that many obstacles will be presented by Bernabeu bosses. As is usually the case when La Fabrica talents leave, Real Madrid will surely look to include a significant sell-on clause and/or buy-back option in any deal for Cestero. This allows the club to retain control over his future, either by giving them a chance to bring him back if he developments well or by netting them more money in the event that a sale takes place in the coming years. But for now, it remains to be seen whether he ends up at Lille.
