Wimbledon sign striker Stockley from Port Vale
AFC Wimbledon have signed striker Jayden Stockley from Port Vale on a two-year deal. The 32-year-old moves to his 15th different club of a career which has already seen him play for sides including Bournemouth, Aberdeen, Exeter City, Preston and Charlton Athletic. Last season, Stockley made 22 League One appearances, of which only nine were starts, scoring three times as Vale were relegated to the fourth tier. He links up with his former Charlton boss Jonnie Jackson at the Cherry Red Records Stadium and becomes Wimbledon's sixth signing of the summer. "Jayden is a great signing for us, he's a player that I know really well having worked with him previously," Jackson told Wimbledon's website. "A lot of hard work has gone into getting this over the line and I think it's important to mention that the player was determined to make it happen." Neither Wimbledon nor Port Vale have disclosed if a transfer fee has been included in the deal. All the latest AFC Wimbledon news All done deals in August 2026
