Manchester City’s Rodri favours move to Barcelona over Real Madrid
Manchester City’s Rodri favours move to Barcelona over Real Madrid Manchester City’s Rodri (30) is said to favour moving to FC Barcelona over Real Madrid, according to reports from RMC Sport . Both the Sky Blues’ and the Merengues’ management are said to have been made aware of this. Whilst Barcelona have maintained their interest for several weeks now, Frenkie De Jong’s (29) injury is said to have prompted the Blaugrana’s management to step up their efforts. This is a shared ambition, as both parties – Rodri and the club – believe the Spaniard could be the ideal missing link in the system put in place by Hansi Flick. Under contract with Manchester City until 2027, the Spaniard is reportedly valued at between €60m and €70m by the English club’s management. It now falls to Barça to secure the necessary financial resources to complete the deal. Having just come off the back of a World Cup victory with Spain, where he was named the tournament’s best player, Rodri could soon return to La Liga, having previously played there for Villarreal CF and Atlético Madrid.
