Barcelona and Al Hilal remain apart on valuation for €40 million-rated La Masia product Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado’s future remains unresolved. The academy graduate has been informed that he will not have a major role to play this season and has been asked to find a new club. The imminent arrival of Rodri from Manchester City makes the situation even more difficult for the young midfielder, leaving with an exit as the most likely option. Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal have emerged as a possible destination for the Spanish star. Indeed, as per Mundo Deportivo , they have already made their move, submitting an offer to Barcelona for the 22-year-old midfielder. Barça standing firm on their asking price The Catalan club rejected that initial proposal in July, and while talks have continued since then, the two sides remain some way from reaching an agreement. Barcelona are demanding more than €30 million for the midfielder and are even hoping to secure a fee closer to €40 million, as previously reported . Al Hilal, however, are currently unwilling to meet that valuation, leaving negotiations at a standstill. Personal terms largely agreed While the clubs remain apart financially, progress has been made on the player’s side. Talks between Casado and Al Hilal are understood to be at an advanced stage, with a good relationship established between both parties. Several clubs from Serie A, the Bundesliga and the Premier League are monitoring the Barcelona academy graduate’s situation, and the player is also open to remaining in European football. So far, however, none of that interest has developed into a formal offer. As things stand, Al Hilal’s proposal remains the most concrete, although the financial differences with Barcelona continue to prevent the deal from moving forward. As things stand, Casado appears destined for an exit and Al Hilal are eager to sign him, but unless they or Barça move from their current position, a deal seems complicated.
