Birmingham unlikely to get Osman back - Davies

[PA Media] Birmingham City "still have work to do" in the transfer window before it shuts at the start of next month says boss Chris Davies, who added a move to bring Ibrahim Osman back to the club is unlikely. Blues have brought in five players so far this summer and reports had linked them with a bid for Brighton's Osman following the forward's successful loan spell at St. Andrew's last season. "I think, based on how well he's done back there with Brighton, it's not something that I'm feeling is too likely," he told BBC Radio WM in the build-up to Saturday's Carabao Cup tie at Swansea. "I'm a big fan of the player. I thought he did so well for us with his speed and power and his attitude, but he's gone back there and what I can pick up is that they've liked the look of him. "They've got the Conference League this season as well, so whether he eventually leaves is looking doubtful. "Obviously we wish him the very best, but we'll have to make sure that we have lots of targets in the next few weeks that we can bring in to boost us in that area." Davies said his main target between now and the end of the transfer window is to "come out stronger than we went in." He added: "I think you also judge it by the last two seasons in the sense that we had a lot of players in by this point and there's been a lot fewer now, but it is slow across the board. "I think that what that means is there will be a lot of activity within all the clubs in the next four weeks. "We do want to make sure we've got multiple threats to score goals home and away.
