Cymru Premier: Penybont come from behind to beat Caernarfon

Caernarfon Town 1-2 Penybont Ryan Hill joined Penybont from Aldershot Town during the summer [FAW] Summer signings Tom Mehew and Ryan Hill scored as Penybont came from behind to secure a 2-1 win at Caernarfon Town. Penybont started brightly but against the run of play it was Zack Clarke who gave the hosts the lead inside the opening five minutes. Clarke netted his first goal of the season from close range following Adrian Cieślewicz's excellent cross. Noah Edwards and Osian Evans both had the ball in the net during a frenetic start for Caernarfon but both efforts were ruled out for offside, confirmed by VAR. In what was an end to end game, Penybont levelled on 18 minutes when Tom Mehew's stunning curling effort found the top right hand corner to leave Connor Roberts with no chance. And the game was turned on its head when Ryan Hill put Bont ahead from the penalty spot, when after a strong run into the box, he was brought down by Edwards. Airbus UK 0-2 Cardiff Met Cardiff Met are top of the Cymru Premier after they made it two wins out of two with victory at newly promoted Airbus UK. Ryan Reynolds' long range strike gave The Archers an interval lead. Two minutes from time Jasper Payne sealed the win scoring his fourth goal of the season. Ammanford 2-2 Colwyn Bay Ammanford came from behind to secure their first point in the Cymru Premier. Adam Davies scored for the second game in succession to give Colwyn Bay the lead, netting from close range from Callum Bratley's cross after 19 minutes, Matty Hill doubled the lead four minutes later after another cross from the right, this time from Louis Robles. Jonathan Evans pulled a goal back for Ammanford early in the second half when he took advantage of a defensive mistake. Matty Delaney levelled from the penalty spot six minutes from time for Wyn Thomas' men. Cambrian United 1-1 Briton Ferry Llansawel Tom Walters' header gave Briton Ferry the lead in the first half but Liam Eason ensured a point for newly promoted Cambrian with a second half penalty. Flint Town United 2-3 Barry Town United Barry were ahead inside the opening six minutes when Elliott Dugan capitalised on poor defending to score. But their lead lasted all of six minutes when Flint level through Joe Malkin's penalty and the home side went ahead when Harrison McGahey's long ball found Harry Dunn, who finished with a powerful shot. Owen Brain equalised for Barry early in the second half with a fine strike from outside the box which found the bottom corner of the net. And Brain scored his second of the evening with two minutes remaining to seal victory for Barry to leave Flint pointless after two games. Holywell Town 1-3 Connah's Quay Nomads Hussein Mehasseb scores for Connah's Quay Nomads against Holywell [FAW] Connah's Quay, last season's runners-up, bounced back after defeat on the opening day with victory away to Flintshire rivals Holywell Town. Hussein Mehasseb put Nomads in front after good work by Joe Simatupang Ferguson and Harry Franklin doubled their lead. Holywell responded when from Ieuan Hewitt's throw-in the ball eventually ended up in the net. But Mehasseb's second goal of the evening in first half stoppage time sealed victory for the visitors. Nomads' Conor Partridge was shown a straight red card for a late challenge in the second half. But after a delay of six minutes in which the referee consulted with VAR, Partridge's red was downgraded to yellow. Callum Stephens scored twice before Bennett got his second for Llandudno - who are second - to leave Trefelin without a point and without a goal after their opening two games. The New Saints 2-0 Haverfordwest County Josh Lock's sublime goal and Rhys Hughes' second half penalty - his first since signing from Connah's Quay - gave the champions their first win of the season. Haverfordwest suffered their second successive loss after they were beaten on the opening weekend by Airbus UK.
