It is understood that the Black Cats would have to compete with Strasbourg, Hull City and FC Copenhagen in the race to sign the Ghanaian talent this summer. Adjei’s Solid Campaign In Ligue 1 Adjei enjoyed a good run of form at the French club in the previous campaign as he managed to put in a run of solid performances at the heart of their defence. The Ghana international featured in 15 league matches for Lorient last season but failed to score or create a goal for them. The 23-year-old is currently one of the most talented central defenders in Ligue 1 . Hence, it is no wonder that Sunderland are in the running to acquire his services this off-season. His current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2028, so the Black Cats would have to launch a convincing offer if they want to recruit Adjei in this transfer window.
