As a new season draws near, football-hungry fans around the country will be tweaking their fantasy teams, making themselves experts on rumoured transfer targets and keeping eyes keenly trained on new kit releases. It's an exciting time for collectors, whether they're looking for never-before-seen designs, classic shirts reimagined or niche releases from far-flung lands to impress their colleagues at five-a-side. BBC Sport has rounded up a non-exhaustive list of some of the best kit releases for 2026-27 so far, ordered alphabetically. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to vote for your top 10. AC Milan (away) Marking 20 years since AC Milan's last Champions League title, the Rossoneri's new away shirt is modelled by legendary former player Filippo Inzaghi - who won the trophy twice with the club, including scoring a brace in the 2007 final in Athens to beat Liverpool - and current defender Davide Bartesaghi. AFC Wimbledon (away) League One side AFC Wimbledon's away kit, in red and yellow, shares the same colour palette as the kit the team wore on the day of their promotion to the top flight for the first time ever on 3 May 1986. Arsenal (home) Marking 20 years since the Gunners moved to Emirates Stadium, Arsenal's new home shirt has a bold red base, with white accents. Mikel Arteta's men kick off their Premier League title defence against promoted side Coventry City on Friday 21 August. Arsenal (third) The north London club have reprised their famous yellow for this season's third strip, with a kit reminiscent of away shirts worn by Arsenal players during the late 1980s. Aston Villa (home) Aston Villa's new home kit is an instant classic. However, the club were warned over sportswashing after revealing Visit Rwanda - the African country's tourist board - as their new front-of-shirt sponsor last month. Atletico Madrid (home) Atletico Madrid's new home shirt platforms the Rojiblancos' famous stripes, together with a subtle trident motif - a symbol associated with the club's fans, who gather at Madrid's Neptune Fountain to celebrate victories. Barcelona (home) The Blaugrana have adapted their traditional stripes for this year's home kit. Hansi Flick will be aiming for a third successive La Liga title since taking over as manager in May 2024. Bayern Munich (away) Adidas have gone for a retro revival with many of their kits this year and Bayern Munich's away strip sits very much in that vein - simple, clean and with the traditional trefoil logo. Vincent Kompany's team reached the Champions League final last season and have become one of the most exciting teams to watch in Europe. Blackburn Rovers (home) Blackburn Rovers' new partnership with Umbro has been launched with an absolute stunner of a kit. After they survived relegation from the Championship last season, manager Tony Mowbray returned to Ewood Park in June for his second spell in charge at the club. Bournemouth (home) Bournemouth struck a club-record deal with new kit supplier Hummel in May. German manager Marco Rose will succeed Andoni Iraola at Vitality Stadium this season after the Spaniard departed having led the Cherries to their first ever European qualification. Brentford (home) In a commitment to affordability and sustainability, Brentford announced earlier this month that their new home kit would also be worn during the 2027-28 season. Brighton (home) Brighton's new home kit, with its subtle pinstripes and white neckline, draws heavily on the strip worn by the Seagulls during the 1983 FA Cup final, which they lost 4-0 in a replay against Ron Atkinson's Manchester United. Celtic (home) Celtic's new home shirt celebrates 60 years since the Lisbon Lions defeated Inter Milan to win the European Cup at the Estadio Nacional in Lisbon, with a commemorative badge and inscription inside the neck. Chelsea (home) Chelsea's new home kit pays homage to their nineties 'Italian Renaissance', when Gianluca Vialli and Gianfranco Zola helped bring success to the club, including the 1997 FA Cup and 1998 League Cup. Club America (home) Mexican side Club America's new home shirt is inspired by one worn during the 1998-99 season, with the club's crest blown up across the torso. Como (home) Manager Cesc Fabregas has turned Como into a serious outfit and this is a serious kit to match. The Italian side qualified for the Champions League for the first time last season and will be hoping to kick on from there. Coventry City (home) Coventry City's new home shirt draws inspiration from the kit worn by players during the 1987 FA Cup final victory over Tottenham Hotspur. The Sky Blues will return to the Premier League in August for the first time in 25 years after gaining promotion under manager Frank Lampard. Dunfermline Athletic (away) Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic have released a shirt that harks back to the one they wore during the 1994-95 season. Everton (home) The Toffees' new home shirt draws inspiration from marine flags found around the docks at the Hill Dickinson stadium. Fenerbahce (away) Turkish club Fenerbahce's new away shirt is inspired by the first kit the club ever wore when they were founded in 1907. Fiorentina (home) Marking the club's centenary, Fiorentina's new home shirt features an embossed pattern inspired by the ornamental frames of Renaissance art found in the city of Florence. Fulham (away) Fulham's away shirt is a reinterpretation of an iconic chequered jersey worn 30 years ago during the 1996-97 season. Grimsby Town (away) In 1996-97, Grimsby Town played in an away kit that was almost identical to one worn by the likes of Roberto Baggio, George Weah and Paolo Maldini at AC Milan. With Lotto returning as the League Two club's kit supplier this season, that design has been revived for a new generation of Mariners fans. Hull City (home) Launching their new partnership with Oxen, Hull City have released a very retro kit for the new campaign, evoking the shirts the Tigers wore during the late seventies. Sergej Jakirovic's team will return to the Premier League for the first time in a decade this season, kicking off their campaign at home against Manchester United on Saturday 22 August. Ipswich Town (home) Ipswich Town return to the Premier League this season after they were relegated at the end of the 2024-25 campaign. The Tractor Boys' new home kit takes inspiration from the Sir Bobby Robson and Sir Alf Ramsey stands at Portman Road, with a motif copying the one that runs across the roof of the stadium. Juventus (home) After last season's experimental home kit, the Old Lady have returned to their traditional, thick stripes this year. Leeds United (away) Leeds' new away shirt takes the Yorkshire rose from its club badge and repeats that motif across the base of the shirt. Blooming marvellous. Liverpool (away) Liverpool's away shirt is inspired by the ticket stubs from European nights during the 1970s and 1980s. It also strongly brings to mind away and third kits worn during a successful period in the club's history during the late 1980s. Liverpool (home) Liverpool's home kit for the 2026-27 campaign is a very conscious nod to the Adidas kit the Merseyside club wore between 1989-1991, during which time they won the 1989-90 First Division title under manager Sir Kenny Dalglish. Lyon (home) Lyon's home shirt for the new campaign pays tribute to the city, with Lyon's coat of arms silhouetted against the shirt sponsor and appearing as a subtle pattern across the stripes. Manchester City (home) Manchester City's new home kit uses a sky blue gradient, with a print inside the neck, which reads, "Not Your Typical City". Following the departure of Pep Guardiola though, will it be typical City under new manager Enzo Maresca? Manchester United (away) Manchester United's new away shirt is inspired by the Red Devils' 1988-90 third kit, which was only worn in three matches. The club have a history of success in blue however, having won both the 1968 European Cup final and 2017 Europa League final wearing blue kits. Manchester United (home) Manchester United's new home kit, with its flat-knit striped collar and cuffs, is inspired by Red Devils kits from the late seventies. Middlesbrough (home) To celebrate 150 years since they were founded, Championship club Middlesbrough have released this bold red and gold kit, with a special anniversary club badge displayed front and centre. Napoli (home) Napoli celebrate their founding in 1926 with this special kit in 'centenary blue', featuring a 100-year anniversary logo on the club badge. Napoli (third) Napoli's third kit evokes designs famously worn during the 1986-87 and 1988-90 seasons, when a certain Diego Maradona inspired the club to two Serie A titles. Newcastle (home) Newcastle's new home kit uses what's been described as a 'disrupted stripe'. Just don't say it looks like a barcode. The Magpies are entering a new era this season after the shock departure of manager Eddie Howe. Nice (home) French side Nice have released this classic home shirt and it is, dare we say, rather nice. Nice (away) Nice's away shirt is another contender for kit of the season with its simple, but effective colour palette, classic fold-over collar and piping down the sleeves. Nottingham Forest (home) Nottingham Forest's home shirt is inspired by the mist that rolls in from the River Trent. Oxford United (home) Oxford United teamed up with local street artist and lifelong U's supporter Andrew Manson to design this season's kit, along with a bespoke piece of artwork. Paris St-Germain (home) The European champions haven't tried to reinvent the wheel with this kit, but it oozes class. Can anyone stop Luis Enrique's side from winning a third successive Champions League trophy? Porto (away) Primeira Liga champions Porto have released an away kit in gorgeous ruby - inspired by the port produced in the region as well as the River Douro. Rangers (home) Rangers' new home shirt is a classy affair. The Glasgow club will hope to exorcise the disappointment of last season's third-place finish under new manager Derek McInnes. Real Betis (home) The stripes are narrower and there are interwoven diagonal lines, but this is still very definitely a Real Betis shirt - one of the most recognisable designs in European football. Real Madrid (away) Real Madrid have released their new away kit in a gorgeous, deep green, reminiscent of their 2012-13 third kit. Real Oviedo (centenary kit) To celebrate their 100-year anniversary, La Liga club Real Oviedo have released a kit worth waiting a century for. Real Valladolid (home) La Liga 2 side Real Valladolid's home shirt uses the club's traditional stripes, with a silhouette showing the Province of Valladolid stitched into the kit. Sampdoria (home) Sampdoria's home kit will remind fans of a certain vintage of Saturdays and Sundays spent watching David Platt represent the Serie A side on Channel 4's Football Italia. To celebrate the club's 80-year anniversary, the shirt comes with a subtle anniversary logo embossed across the chest. Sheffield United (away) Sheffield United's away kit revives a classic style worn by the Blades during the 1975-76 season. That campaign ended in relegation from the First Division for the Yorkshire club, but it's an iconic design nonetheless. Strasbourg (away) Ligue 1 side Strasbourg have joined the nineties revival. Their new away kit uses diamond graphics synonymous with Adidas kits from that decade, including the strips worn by the French side themselves between 1994-96. Sunderland (away) In one of the more unexpected launches this summer, Sunderland have collaborated with the Elvis Presley estate to release this striking kit in a colourway synonymous with the King's early years in Louisiana. Elvis' 'Can't Help Falling in Love' has been a matchday anthem for the North East club since the late seventies. Sunderland (home) For their new home shirt, the Black Cats have drawn inspiration from the shirt worn by players during the club's first FA Cup victory at Wembley over Preston North End in 1937. A jacquard 'S' in the style of the handles of the FA Cup trophy is repeated across the base of the jersey. Tottenham Hotspur (away) After recording their highest ever WSL points total last season, Spurs are looking towards a bright future with big ambitions in the transfer market. Meanwhile, new manger Roberto de Zerbi is hoping to drag the men's side up from the depths. To dare is to do and this kit is nothing if not daring. Venezia (home) Serie A club Venezia have released some of the most sought-after kits of recent years and this season's home shirt is sure to be no exception. Wrexham Wrexham's new home shirt pays tribute to their stadium, the Racecourse Ground, with a pattern reflecting the old Kop's barriers embossed into the weave of the fabric.
