Two clubs in advanced talks to sign Monaco’s Folarin Balogun Two clubs are reportedly leading the race to sign AS Monaco’s FolariM Balogun (25), according to Nice-Matin . Whilst their identities have not been revealed, one of them are said to play in the Premier League. Under contract with ASM until 2028, the US international – who has 31 caps (12 goals) – will now have to make a choice, as his departure from Monaco is expected in the coming weeks. Once Balogun’s decision is known, discussions will begin between the selling and buying clubs to try to reach an agreement. Having come through the ranks at Arsenal, the 25-year-old striker moved to France in August 2022 on loan to Stade de Reims. It was a highly successful spell (22 goals in 39 matches), which was enough to convince the Monaco management to bring him to the south of France the following summer. Since then, having made 91 appearances for the principality club, Balogun has established himself as a key figure in the French league. Having featured 43 times last season, the New York City-born player scored 19 goals and provided four assists across all competitions. GFFN | Léo Aschi
