According to SPORT , Barcelona will demand a minimum of €65 million for Ferran Torres, although the Catalan club are aware that there is room for negotiation.  PSG have already shown interest in the player, and talks between the two clubs are expected to take place this week once Ferran formally communicates his decision to leave. Furthermore, his recent performances have also helped strengthen that position, as Ferran has increased his market value after a strong World Cup, where he scored the winning goal for Spain in the final. However, it is important to understand that the €65 million figure is understood to be a starting point rather than an indication that Barcelona expect PSG to immediately agree to that amount. Understandably, the French champions are not considering paying the full €65 million, but they know that an attractive proposal will be necessary to open serious negotiations. Barcelona paid Manchester City €55 million for Ferran when they signed him, meaning a transfer at that level would allow the club to recover the initial investment.  The Blaugrana also believe that the sale would generate a useful financial benefit because much of the player’s transfer cost has already been amortised. Selling Ferran would not only bring a significant transfer fee into the club but could also create additional room on the wage bill.  That could help the Blaugrana complete other planned moves before the transfer window closes. The next step is for PSG to make their position concrete and for Barcelona to decide how much they are prepared to compromise on their initial €65 million demand.
