Roma exploring Martinelli option with Arsenal as well as Rodrigo Mora Roma are still looking to provide head coach Gian Piero Gasperini with a new attacker before the close of the summer transfer window, and the latest reports claim that Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli could become a strong option for the Giallorossi. CdS: Roma looking at Martinelli Gasperini has made it clear on several occasions this summer – and last summer as well – that he would like a new right-footed forward capable of playing on the left-hand side of the attack. The Giallorossi have explored moves for several different profiles this summer, including the likes of Mason Greenwood, Antonio Nusa and Alejandro Garnacho, but have been unable to close any deals at this stage. Reports over the weekend claimed that Porto’s Rodrigo Mora is also an option . Monday’s updates from the Corriere dello Sport claim that Roma sporting director Tony D’Amico has begun to look at alternative options and that Arsenal’s Martinelli is among them. Martinelli is into the final year of his contract at The Emirates and Arsenal have already brought in a new signing in the same position this summer in Christos Tzolis, which leaves the Brazilian seemingly surplus to requirements.
