Three more Real Madrid players join Mourinho for preseason training
Three more Real Madrid players join Mourinho for preseason training Jose Mourinho has already completed four weeks of preseason training with his new side, Real Madrid, but he has been without some of his most important players during this time. This is because several Merengue players participated in the World Cup 2026 with their respective national teams, and thus started and ended their vacation belatedly. These players began rejoining the team for preseason training in the second week, and the Portuguese coach has gradually welcomed back more of these players in the ensuing weeks . As Diario AS has reported, Mourinho welcomed three more players at Valdebebas today, on Monday, namely, the two new signings, Marc Cucurella and Ibrahima Konate, and the star forward Kylian Mbappe. All of these players have already passed their medical tests, and are now ready to start working with their new coach. With their returns, only Jude Bellingham and Aurelien Tchouameni are the remaining Real Madrid players who are still to return. They are expected to do so on Tuesday or Wednesday. However, none of these five players are expected to be ready for the upcoming friendly game against Deportivo in the Teresa Herrera Trophy, which is scheduled to take place this Wednesday. While the team travels to Coruna for this game, these five players will follow a specific training plan to get back to their best conditions ahead of the next season. However, they will still get to participate in some preseason friendlies, and they are expected to be ready for the friendly against Schalke 04. Marc Cucurella has been one of the most exciting signings for Real Madrid this summer, and is expected to be a fixed starter on the left-back position. Kylian Mbappe will once again lead the Merengue attack, while Ibrahima Konate will be one of the center-back options for Jose Mourinho for the next season.
