Barcelona have ‘total agreement’ with two top transfer targets – report
Barcelona have ‘total agreement’ with two top transfer targets – report In a matter of days, Barcelona have returned to business on multiple fronts in the transfer market – both in terms of departures and arrivals. The club have managed to complete the departure of Ronald Araujo and are working to secure Marc Casado and Ferran Torres’ exits as well . Concurrently, they have been linked with some big names in terms of arrivals with Rodri, Julian Alvarez and Joao Cancelo all linked with transfers. Total agreement with two targets As reported by Jose Alvarez Haya in a recent report, Barcelona are working hard to complete the signings of Joao Cancelo and Rodri from Al Hilal and Manchester City respectively. The idea is to complete the deals as urgently as possible. Cancelo is pushing for a return. (Photo by Eric Alonso/Getty Images) On that front, they have already closed a complete and total agreement with both players, which is significant as it implies that there is an agreement on the financial terms involved as well. All that remains, however, is an agreement with the two clubs – something Deco and Co. are burning the midnight oil to achieve. The agreements with Manchester City and Al Hilal are both close, and the club remain optimistic. A matter of days Negotiations regarding Rodri’s transfer to Catalonia have escalated in recent days, and while Manchester City rejected Barcelona’s opening bid, there is confidence that the second bid will be accepted. The club have already prepared the second Manchester-bound offer and are expected to send it imminently. Their goal is to complete the deal before the player is scheduled to return to England for pre-season. Rodri could well be Barcelona’s next official signing. (Photo by Justin Setterfield/Getty Images) Negotiations with Al Hilal for Cancelo, meanwhile, are also progressing well with the player pushing for a move to Barcelona. It remains to be seen what economic terms are finalised and whether Barcelona include a player or not, but the club are confident of securing the transfer. Cancelo, after all, is willing to go to war against his current employers for his dream move. His internal resistance to train with his current employers has been a critical factor in the negotiations, and it is only a matter of time before the final agreement is reached.
