Lens reach full agreement with Benfica over Franjo Ivanović loan RC Lens are reported to have reached a full agreement with SL Benfica in their bid to sign Franjo Ivanović (22), according to information from Foot Mercato . The Croatian striker is therefore expected to join the Sang et Or on a loan deal with an option to buy. Also courted by SS Lazio, the 22-year-old ultimately opted to join the northern club, where he will have the opportunity to compete in the Champions League. Having moved to Benfica from Union Saint-Gilloise last summer, Ivanović enjoyed a mixed first season in Portugal, making 42 appearances (scoring eight goals and providing three assists), but was limited to just 15 starts for the Lisbon club. Following the signings of Michaël Cuisance (26), Thorgan Hazard (33), Mickaël Skorás (26), Maik Nawrocki (25) and Yacine Titraoui (23), Lens are now set to welcome their sixth summer signing and add another attacking option to their squad.
