In the short term, Arsenal are unlikely to entertain Galatasaray’s interest, but that may change if they manage to land a big left-wing signing. Jacobs confirms it’s not a sale Arsenal are expected to sanction without a replacement. Over in Turkey, Haluk Yurekli claimed Galatasaray have made a €40m (£34.2m) offer for Martinelli, though this remains unconfirmed by other sources. It’s possible the offer was a verbal approach ahead of a potential formal bid. But Taylor adds that it’s not a formality that Martinelli will leave Arsenal this summer. Though Martinelli is in the final year of his deal, Arsenal have an option to extend that to 2028, and the club will only sanction a sale if they have a replacement lined up. Roma would also struggle to match the player’s current salary.
