Barcelona’s willingness to sell rather than loan him could complicate the deal, especially if the reported £20m valuation reflects their demands. Still, Everton would be paying for potential as much as proven output. At 20, Fort offers energy, technical quality and room to improve. With the right-back department looking painfully short and unsecured, Everton shouldn’t ignore a player who could fill that hole without arriving on a short-term fix.
