Arsenal Are In The Running To Recruit This Leicester City Youngster: One For The Future? In a recent post on X , journalist Pete O’Rourke claimed that Arsenal are in the running to recruit Leicester City youngster Louis Page. It is believed that the Gunners would have to compete with Manchester United in the race to land the English midfielder this month. Page’s Impressive Rise In English Football Page has come through the youth ranks of Leicester City and has done well to establish himself as an important member of their senior team. The 18-year-old played in 18 league matches for the Foxes last season, picking up one assist in the process. The talented teenager is currently one of the most gifted young midfielders in the Premier League. Hence, Arsenal would do well to win the race for his services in this transfer period. His current contract at the King Power Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Gunners to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season. Page is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it from midfield. He usually works hard for his team defensively and can engineer the odd chance for his teammates to find the back of the net. Page is primarily a central midfielder but can also function as a defensive midfielder or play in the number ten position if told to do so. The English whizkid is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth at the highest level. Furthermore, only time will tell whether he can cope with the physical demands and high intensity of Premier League football. We can expect Page to improve the quality of Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s midfield department in the long run. He is already good enough to serve as a decent rotational piece in the North London club’s squad. At 18, the future looks quite promising for Page as long as he continues to improve with each year. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future, so Arteta should consider stepping up his efforts to land him this month.
