Ziolkowski draws interest in Saudi Pro League
Ziolkowski draws interest in Saudi Pro League Jan Ziolkowski could leave Roma after just one year. Speaking exclusively to us, the interested party stated that he’s happy at Trigoria, but his adventure could be coming to an end. Signed last summer from Legia Warsaw for €6 million, he’s logged 761 minutes in all competitions, scoring one goal in the Europa League. The 2006-born player wants more playing time, and doesn’t appear destined to rise through the ranks in the capital. The Trigoria club – according to Il Corriere della Sera – has established that €20 million is needed to sell the defender, confirming the feeling that the central defender is talented. There’s no shortage of suitors: several clubs from Saudi Arabia are ready to knock on the doors of the Roman training center. They certainly wouldn’t face financial problems; it remains to be seen whether the player will be open to an early departure from Europe. If Ziolkowski leaves, Roma will try to replace him. Gian Piero Gasperini has been clear: no positions can be left empty. The club’s intention, however, isn’t to replace the Pole with another center back. The Grugliasco-born coach is considering Devyne Rensch as a center back, and a new backup could arrive on the market.
