Fiorentina reject Jadon Sancho chance after Manchester United exit Jadon Sancho has previously been close to a move to the Serie A but that possibility seems to be floating away now. Last summer, the attacker found himself in the middle of a transfer saga involving Roma. A deal never went through, as Sancho ended up at Aston Villa instead and Manchester United decided to not extend his contract beyond this summer. Now a free agent, Fiorentina have rejected the chance to sign him. Alfredo Pedulla has reported that this happened two weeks ago, when Sancho’s entourage got in touch with Fiorentina to know if they are interested in the free agent. Despite La Viola have done significant business this summer and the player being available for no transfer fee, they rejected the idea. This is mainly because of his poor recent track record and also because they had other ideas up their sleeve, as they signed Franco Mastantuono instead. Fiorentina’s stance is no surprise, as they are mounting a rebuild under Fabio Paratici.
