Leicester City sign midfielder Bance Leicester City have completed the signing of midfielder Libby Bance on a free transfer. WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this afternoon. The 23-year-old midfielder joins Leicester City after leaving former club Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this summer. Bance came through the Sussex club’s academy system and went on to make 44 appearances in all competitions at senior level. During her time with Brighton & Hove Albion, Bance also enjoyed loan spells with Rangers, Bristol City and Birmingham City. She helped the latter club win the Barclays WSL2 title last season. Bance made six appearances for Blues in Barclays WSL2 throughout their title-winning campaign. After joining Leicester City, Bance said “ The team have been really welcoming and it’s a great group. I feel like I’ve settled in well already and that’s thanks to them. “The stadium is lovely and I’ve heard the fans here are excellent. I can’t wait to play in front of them.” Bance is Leicester City’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window. The Foxes are expected to continue to add to their squad in the lead up to next month’s big kick-off in Barclays WSL2. The East Midlands side are light on numbers following last season’s relegation.
