RB Leipzig halt pursuit of several attacking targets After RB Leipzig’s transfer of Fisnik Asllani collapsed, the Saxony club have been caught short in their pursuit of another attacker. They were the fifth highest scorers in the Bundesliga in 2025/26 with 66 goals, but after losing Yan Diomande to Real Madrid and Christoph Baumgartner to injury, they’re left scouring the market for attacking additions. According to Bild , they’re in the market for competition to Rômulo (nine goals, four assists in 30 Bundesliga appearances) and Conrad Harder (three goals, three assists in 29 Bundesliga appearances) – but they’ve been priced out of several moves. Midtjylland’s Franculino and AZ Alkmaar’s Troy Parrot were potential targets, but neither are now on their radar, while Dušan Vlahović is on the verge of joining Besiktas. Bild have also linked Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo with Leipzig, while Everton’s Thierno Barry is considered too expensive, at around €30m. The same can be said for Strasbourg’s Diego Moreira and Samir El Mourabet, who are available for a reported €35m – again, too expensive for Leipzig, despite Diomande’s €140m departure. Time is certainly running out for Leipzig, who start their season in the DFB Pokal at Eintracht Trier before hosting Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga a week later. GGFN | Daniel Pinder
