Barcelona assure summer signing that he will be registered as key departures clear salary space

Barcelona assure summer signing that he will be registered as key departures clear salary space Barcelona have given Anthony Gordon an important boost regarding his registration, assuring the winger’s representatives that there should be no issue registering him for the start of the 2026/27 La Liga season. The registration situation has been one of the main concerns surrounding Gordon since his move to Camp Nou.  The Englishman completed his transfer to Barcelona in May, but he is still waiting for his squad number as the club works through their player transfers ahead of the new campaign. According to SPORT , Gordon’s representatives recently visited Barcelona to discuss several matters with the club’s sporting management.  Notably, registration was one of the main topics, and Barça have explained their position. The club believe they will create enough salary space to register the former Newcastle winger, with several departures expected to play an important role in that process. However, with La Liga approaching, making sure Gordon can be officially included in the squad has naturally become a priority. The winger is currently the biggest summer investment made by Barcelona, which makes his registration particularly important.  The club has been registering players individually rather than completing the entire squad process at once, and Gordon is expected to be among those eventually added. For now, the club is counting on further departures to create the necessary room under La Liga’s financial regulations.  On that note, Ferran Torres’ expected move to Paris Saint-Germain is particularly important because his departure would remove a significant salary from the squad. Ferran and Araujo exits to be key Barcelona’s registration plans are closely connected to the players leaving the club. Ronald Araujo has already completed his move to Liverpool, meaning his departure will generate substantial savings. Ferran is also closing in on a transfer to PSG, which would further reduce the wage bill. Furthermore, the likes of Hector Fort and Marc Casado could leave, while Roony Bardghji is expected to miss out because of a long-term injury. Those changes could give Barcelona the financial flexibility they need to complete their squad registrations.
