QPR sign former Sunderland defender Cirkin

Dennis Cirkin was capped by England up to under-20 level [Getty Images] Queens Park Rangers have signed left-back Dennis Cirkin on a free transfer, after he was released by Premier League side Sunderland. Cirkin played 36 times in the Championship during the Black Cats' promotion-winning campaign in the 2024-25 season, but featured just nine times in the Premier League last term. He is the sixth summer arrival for a QPR side aiming to improve on last season's 15th position in the Championship. "They're very ambitious and that's something that aligns with me," the 24-year-old told QPR's official website . Dublin-born Cirkin moved to London at the age of three and later joined the Tottenham Hotspur academy. He joined Sunderland in August 2021 and went on to make 126 appearances, scoring eight goals.
