Negotiations between the two clubs have entered their final phase, with PSG having long since agreed personal terms with the player. All that remains is for the definitive transfer terms to be settled, with the operation set to be closed for a figure of around €55 million. For Barcelona, recouping such a sum for a player with just one year left on his contract represents excellent business, even if losing a World Cup final hero is far from ideal.
