Jackson future uncertain at Lincoln
[Getty Images] Lincoln City defender Adam Jackson may still have a role to play at the club this season despite missing out in the EFL Cup first round last weekend, says boss Tom Shaw. The 32-year-old was unavailable for a significant portion of last season's promotion campaign after undergoing surgery for a hernia but is back training with the squad. "I've been speaking to Jacko about where he fits in the squad and where his opportunities might be this year," Shaw said. "We will keep looking at how the squad settles over the next couple of weeks until the transfer window [closes] and then make the right decision." Meanwhile, fellow defender Sonny Bradley is "a couple of weeks" away from a return as he recovers from a minor knee injury. The club have brought in Romania international centre-back Andrei Coubis during the summer transfer window as they prepare for their Championship campaign which starts with a trip to Middlesbrough on Saturday (15:00 BST).
