Official | Borussia Dortmund’s Almugera Kabar joins NEC Nijmegen on loan Borussia Dortmund have sent 20-year-old defender Almugera Kabar to Dutch Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen until the end of 2026/27. Having joined Dortmund at the age of 13 in 2019, Kabar has progressed through the youth ranks before making his debut for the Senior side. Kabar is under contract at the Black and Yellows until 2028 and has made a total of six Bundesliga appearances for the senior team. He was also part of BVB’s pre-season squad this summer. Last season, he made 25 appearances for BVB II, scoring eight goals. Kabar, who has also played for the German youth team at U17 level, won the World Cup and European Championship with Germany U17s in 2023. Nijmegen Technical Director Carlos Aalbers stated : “Almugera has a very interesting profile that fits our playing style well.
