Wolverhampton set their sights on Stade Rennais’ Jordan James

Wolverhampton set their sights on Stade Rennais’ Jordan James Wolverhampton are reported to have set their sights on Stade Rennais FC’s Jordan James (22), according to information from Ouest-France . Having been relegated to the Championship at the end of the 2025-26 season, the Wolves are said to have offered their Breton counterparts a deal worth just over €10m in an attempt to secure the midfielder’s services. Whilst James would prefer to experience the Premier League, a move to the tier below cannot be ruled out. Nor can any other options, for that matter, as everything remains open regarding his future. On loan at Leicester last season, James enjoyed a prolific campaign, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists in the 34 Championship matches – 27 of which he started – in which he featured. Having come through the ranks at Birmingham City FC, the Welshman joined Rennes in the summer of 2024 for a fee of €5m. Although he made 25 appearances in his first season, he failed to establish himself as a key player in Les Rouge et Noir ’ squad. GFFN  |  Léo Aschi
