Stags goalkeeper Roberts signs new deal
Liam Roberts' former clubs include Walsall, Northampton Town and Middlesbrough [Getty Images] Mansfield Town goalkeeper Liam Roberts has signed a one-year contract extension to keep him with the Stags until the summer of 2028. The 31-year-old joined the League One side after he was released by Millwall in July 2025 and featured 48 times across all competitions in his first season at One Call Stadium. He collected Mansfield's players' player of the season and Stags Supporters' Association player of the season awards after keeping a total of 14 clean sheets during the campaign. "Liam signing a new contract is a reward for a brilliant season and we wanted to secure him for a little while longer," Mansfield manager Nigel Clough told the club website.
