Barcelona ‘absolutely convinced’ two blockbuster transfers will happen this summer

Barcelona ‘absolutely convinced’ two blockbuster transfers will happen this summer Barcelona remain fully committed to signing Rodri and Julian Alvarez, with the Catalan giants convinced that both transfer operations can be completed before the summer window closes. According to Mundo Deportivo , there are no doubts within Barcelona over their plans for the final weeks of the market.  With just over two weeks remaining, the club is not actively looking at alternative targets for either position. The Rodri to Barcelona transfer is currently the more advanced of the two situations, while the pursuit of Julian Alvarez remains more difficult because of Atletico Madrid’s position. Still, Barcelona believe that the wishes of both players could prove decisive as they look to deliver two major additions for Hansi Flick’s squad. Barcelona expect Rodri deal to move forward Barcelona’s confidence over the signing of Rodri is largely based on the player’s desire to join Flick’s project. The financial side of the operation still needs work, as Barcelona are aware that their second offer must be improved, with Manchester City demanding a package worth around €80 million . The Catalan club, however, are not believed to be willing to meet that figure outright.  They plan to increase the overall value of the proposal through bonuses and add-ons, potentially taking the package closer to €70 million. Notably, City have rejected Barcelona’s previous approaches and are waiting for an improved offer, although the player’s future remains uncertain.  According to Mundo Deportivo’s report, Barcelona expect the Rodri transfer to be wrapped up no later than next week. Alvarez continues to push for Barcelona move Julian Alvarez is pushing for a move to Barcelona. (Photo by Angel Martinez/Getty Images) The situation surrounding Julian Alvarez to Barcelona is more complicated. Atletico Madrid have maintained a tough stance over the Argentine striker, making the operation far more difficult than the negotiations for Rodri.  But Barcelona remain confident that the player has not abandoned his hope of joining the Blaugrana. Alvarez is expected to continue pushing for an exit over the coming days, with the 26-year-old still focused on finding a route from Atletico to Camp Nou . His attempt to involve Diego Simeone in facilitating his departure has not yielded the result he wanted, but that has not changed his desire to play for Barcelona. Simply put, the player’s power is now central to Barcelona’s hopes. Atletico’s position may remain firm, but the club is betting that Alvarez’s continued determination could eventually change the course of the negotiations.
