Confirmed: Barcelona squad list to face FC Basel – Gordon, Lamine in, no Pedri FC Barcelona will face off against FC Basel tomorrow in Switzerland in their penultimate pre-season match of the summer. Having seen their trip to Morocco, to face Ittihad Tanger, get cancelled, the Blaugrana swiftly arranged an alternative fixture against the Swiss giants, with the match set to be played on Sunday. Anthony Gordon’s first call-up Ahead of the trip to Switzerland, Barcelona have now announced the squad list of players who will be available at manager Hansi Flick’s disposal for the game. And, the big headline is that new signing Anthony Gordon has been named in the squad and could very well make his unofficial debut for the Catalans. The England international returned to pre-season training earlier this week after his World Cup break and has made a good impression on the coaching staff. As such, he will now travel with the rest of the squad to Switzerland and look to make an impact on the pitch if the manager decides to call him up. Spain contingent returns The World Cup winners with Spain also rejoined pre-season training this week and most of them feature on the squad list for the friendly against Basel. Indeed, Joan Garcia, Dani Olmo, Pau Cubarsi, Eric Garcia, and Lamine Yamal have been called up by manager Flick. No Pedri in squad. Interestingly, fellow midfielder Gavi, too, has been left out. Jules Kounde is also in the squad even as question marks linger over his future with interest coming from Arsenal. Youngsters Eder Aller, Brian Farinas, Orian Goren, Jordi Pesquer, Xavi Espart, Alvaro Cortes, Jesse Bisiwu, Ebrima Tunkara, and Hamza Abdelkarim also feature in the squad. Marc Casado, Aron Yaakobishvili, Hector Fort, Jofre Torrents, Guille and Toni Fernandez will stay behind in Barcelona as they work on securing their exits from the club.
