The Brazil forward tapped home from Kevin Schade's square ball just before the break then scored the Bees' sixth, finishing coolly from a tight angle after a charging run. Schade had opened the scoring after just two minutes before summer signing Mamadou Sangare marked his home debut with a brilliant volley on 12 minutes, chesting down a loose ball and striking sweetly. Dango Ouattara made it 4-0 seven minutes after the break, firing in at the near post after being slipped in by Michael Kayode. Keane Lewis-Potter curled one in to make it five before Thiago scored then set up Schade for his second of the afternoon in the space of two minutes. The 25-year-old wriggled into space and found German forward Schade, who swept home to cap off an impressive performance. Thiago scored 26 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions for the Bees last season, earning a call up to the Brazil squad at this summer's World Cup. But he made just one start as Brazil's campaign ended in disappointment with defeat by Norway in the last-16. Brentford begin their Premier League campaign at home to Tottenham on Saturday, 22 August (17:30 BST).
