Victor Munoz has been joined at the club by Jeremy Jacquet and Ronald Araujo on loan. Around £100m has already been spent - adding to the £450m or so that Richard Hughes invested last summer. He was acquired for a fee that could reach £116m from Bayer Leverkusen - but flattered to deceive in his first season in Red. Following a summer break he is now back with the squad - and one of Iraola’s main tasks will be to make a deadly duo out of his two most expensive players. That’s according to a report in the Liverpool Echo which claims that the Basque tactico is ready to BUILD his team around the No9 and the No7. £241m duo need to step up “Liverpool are now building around Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz and any signings or positional moves will be to best serve that duo,” the report reads. “None of that, however, should detract from the fact the Reds do need more attacking reinforcements.” Wirtz and Isak were barely a factor - collectively - during their first season at Anfield. But all that is now expected to change as Iraola plots a reinvention of the £241m forward duo.
