Fenerbahçe’s Sidiki Chérif set to join Coventry City Fenerbahçe SK’s Sidiki Chérif (19) is reportedly on the verge of signing for Coventry City, according to information from Foot Mercato . Having been promoted to the Premier League this season, the Sky Blues are said to have reached an agreement with the Istanbul-based club for a fee of €24.5m. The forward, who is also keen on the idea of joining the Coventry Building Society Arena, is expected to sign a five-year contract, running until 2032. He is due to undergo a medical in the coming hours. Having come through the ranks at SCO Angers’ academy, where he made his professional debut in August 2023 and played 36 matches, Chérif moved to Turkey last February on a loan deal with a mandatory buy-out clause set at €21m. Having made 16 appearances in all competitions for Fenerbahçe in the 2025–26 season, the Dubreka, Guinea-born player scored three goals and provided one assist. GFFN  |  Léo Aschi
