New York City submit Frank Magri offer as Burnley join race for Cameroon international
New York City submit Frank Magri offer as Burnley join race for Cameroon international New York City have submitted an offer to Cameroon international Frank Magri (26), whose contract at Toulouse FC expired at the end of the season, as per a report from Foot Mercato . Burnley are also interested in the centre-forward. Magri joined Toulouse from SC Bastia back in 2023. He has gone on to make 89 appearances for Le TéFéCé, scoring 16 goals in that time. Five of them came in 17 appearances in Ligue 1 last season. His goals helped guide the club to a comfortable midtable finish. But he did not feature from February onwards, due to a refusal to sign an extension. However, his contract was not renewed, meaning that the centre-forward is available on a free transfer. As per Foot Mercato, multiple MLS sides are interested in the Cameroonian, including New York City, who have gone so far as to table an offer. There have also been several bids from Schalke, but, as is also the case with New York City, no agreement has been found. Burnley are also following the situation, the publication adds.
