Werder Bremen turned down two Strasbourg offers for Karim Coulibaly

Werder Bremen turned down two Strasbourg offers for Karim Coulibaly RC Strasbourg Alsace are working on a deal to sign Werder Bremen’s Karim Coulibaly (19), according to information from Sky Sport Deutschland . Although the German club has already rejected two offers from its French counterpart, negotiations are continuing with a view to finalising the deal. A third offer is even expected to be tabled in the coming hours. Having come through the Hamburg SV academy, the young centre-back joined Werder in the summer of 2024, before making his professional debut there a year ago. With an impressive physique – standing at 1m91 – the Oldenburg-born player quickly established himself as a key member of the Grün-Weißen squad, making no fewer than 24 starts in 27 Bundesliga appearances last season, his first at the top level.  It is worth noting that on 30th August, when he found the back of the net against Bayer Leverkusen, he became the youngest goalscorer in the club’s history, aged 18 years, three months and seven days. Regarded as one of German football’s brightest prospects, Coulibaly has represented his country at international level since the Under-17s and recently made his debut for the Under-21s.
