'We've remained in contact' with Grealish - Kinnear

[Getty Images] Everton chief executive officer Angus Kinnear says they have "remained in contact" with Jack Grealish but need "to respect" that he is a Manchester City player at present. Grealish, 30, made 22 appearances for Everton last season before an unfortunate foot injury in January ended his season prematurely. He has since returned to parent club Manchester City, for whom he came on as a half-time substitute in Sunday's Community Shield defeat by Arsenal . "Jack is a player we've remained in contact with," said Kinnear in an exclusive interview with BBC Radio Merseyside. "It was no secret that he decided to have his rehabilitation done here for the remainder of last season when he didn't have to do that. "He's a player who's fallen in love with the right shade of blue but ultimately he's a Manchester City player at the moment and we need to respect that. "The most important thing is he's back. He had a very serious injury, he's worked really hard to get back from that." Listen to the full interview on BBC Sounds Read more here
