Durham sign Hearts forward Hutchison
Durham sign Hearts forward Hutchison Durham have completed the signing of Heart of Midlothian forward Bayley Hutchison on a permanent deal. The Wildcats announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website earlier this morning. The 22-year-old joins Durham fresh from winning the Scottish Women’s Premier League title with Hearts last season. It was the first time that The Jambos were crowned champions of Scotland. The player netted 27 goals for Hearts across her two campaigns with the club. Hutchison was a member of a Hearts attack that also included former Durham forward Carly Johns last season. The forward previously turned out for Aberdeen and she was the SWPL’s top scorer in 2023/2024 with 28 goals. On the international stage, Hutchison has been capped by Scotland up to and including Under-23 level. Hutchison is a complete attacking player. She is able to lead the front-line, drop deep and get in behind the opposition defence. She will bring plenty of versatility with her to new club Durham as they look to make an impact in this season’s Barclays WSL2. Hutchison is Durham’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window. The player will now participate in The Wildcats’ final pre-season preparations ahead of the new campaign.
