Chelsea Forward Is On The Radar Of Aston Villa: Should Alonso Cash In On Him?

Chelsea Forward Is On The Radar Of Aston Villa: Should Alonso Cash In On Him? In a recent report , The Athletic stated that Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson is on the radar of Aston Villa this summer. It has been mentioned that the Villans are hoping to land the Senegalese striker this month, but the Blues have set a £65m price tag for him. Jackson’s Impressive Loan Spell At Bayern Munich Jackson enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Bayern Munich last season when he managed to put in a few eye-catching performances for them in the final third. The 25-year-old banged in 11 goals and grabbed four assists in 34 appearances for the Bavarian club in the previous campaign across multiple competitions. The Senegalese talent is currently one of the most talented forwards in his homeland. However, Chelsea won’t be able to offer him regular playing time this season. His current contract at Stamford Bridge will run out in the summer of 2033. Hence, the Blues are in no immediate need to cash in on him this month. He has the vision to create the odd chance for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet. The Senegalese talent can chip in by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team up top. Jackson is primarily a centre-forward, but can also serve as a left-sided wide player if asked to do so. However, he would struggle to earn regular first-team starts if he decides to stay with Chelsea beyond this summer. Jackson is currently surplus to requirements at the West London club. Hence, it is only fair to the player if the Blues decide to move him on this off-season. At 25, Jackson has his peak years ahead of him and is currently under a long-term contract at Chelsea. Thus, Alonso should only consider cashing in on him if he receives a favourable offer for his services before the end of this transfer window. Another option would be to retain the Senegalese talent and use him as a squad player in the upcoming Premier League campaign.
