Feyenoord in talks to sign OGC Nice’s Charles Vanhoutte Feyenoord have opened talks to sign OGC Nice midfielder Charles Vanhoutte (27), as per a report from  L’Équipe . Vanhoutte only joined Nice last summer, signing from Union Saint-Gilloise. He hoped that the move to the Allianz Riviera would bolster his hopes of making Rudi Garcia’s Belgium squad for the FIFA World Cup. The midfielder started well under Franck Haise, who pushed to bring him to the club, but his impact waned as Nice struggled. By the end of the season, under Claude Puel, he was no longer the key player that he was at the start of the campaign. He could now be set to depart. Feyenoord have made contact with Nice regarding a transfer. A deal could be reached for a fee a little above €6m. Such a fee would see  Le Gym  make a small profit. Vanhoutte is open to a move to the Eredivisie side, who next season will compete in the UEFA Champions League. GFFN | Luke Entwistle
