Barcelona confident every new signing will be registered before La Liga opener against Elche – report

Barcelona confident every new signing will be registered before La Liga opener against Elche – report Barcelona are increasingly confident that none of their new signings will miss the start of the 2026/27 La Liga season due to registration problems. According to SPORT , Barcelona expect to complete the registration process for their first-team reinforcements in time for Sunday’s league opener against Elche.  The process is set to begin on Thursday, which is today, giving the club a clear window to complete the remaining administrative work before Hansi Flick names his squad. Barcelona expect Rodri, Gordon and Adeyemi to be available Barcelona’s plan is for Flick to have all of his new first-team players available for selection against Elche. The club is currently operating under La Liga’s 1:1 rule , allowing Barcelona to register new signings without the restrictions that complicated their transfer business in previous seasons. Among the major additions expected to be registered are Rodri, Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi. Rodri is arguably the standout arrival of Barcelona’s summer , having joined from Manchester City on a contract running until 2030. Gordon was the first operation completed by Barcelona during the summer, while Adeyemi has also been brought. Hamza Abdelkarim is another player included in Barcelona’s planning after the club exercised their purchase option, while young talent Jesse Bisiwu will be registered with the reserve team and remain part of the wider first-team setup. Cancelo is Barcelona’s only registration concern Joao Cancelo is the last player to sign for Barcelona. The Portuguese full-back joined Barcelona later than the other new arrivals , leaving less time for the club to complete the registration process.  That makes him the one player whose availability against Elche remains slightly less certain. Even so, Barcelona remain confident that they can create the necessary space through their outgoing business and complete Cancelo’s registration without a major problem. Another case that requires attention is Andreas Christensen.  Although the Danish defender is not a new signing, his contract renewal means his new agreement must also be formally registered with the relevant sporting and financial documentation.
