Wales, 21, has made only five substitute appearances for Swansea, scoring once, since joining from Kilmarnock in the summer of 2025. The Championship club are keen for Wales to play regular first-team football at Dundee, where Swansea academy product Cameron Congreve impressed during a loan spell last season. Wales winger Congreve was sold to Belgian club Westerlo for what is understood to have been a seven-figure fee earlier this month after thriving in Scotland. Swansea hope Wales' return to his native Scotland will see him progress after he endured a frustrating stint at League One Huddersfield Town in the second half of last season. The Swans signed Wales on a four-year deal, with Kilmarnock receiving a compensation payment because of the player's age even though he was out of contract at Rugby Park.
