Manchester City’s Ruben Dias has now emerged as a possible target. The Rossoneri have worked rather closely with Jorge Mendes this summer and the Portuguese was also in Milan to speak to Amorim’s side about various topics. This led to the idea of signing the Citizens’ defender, who is now on Milan’s radar. La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that initial discussions have been held for the deal – presumably with Mendes himself. It is believed the 29-year-old is on the transfer list and his age appeals to the Rossoneri too. They also want to take advantage of how his stock has fallen in the last two seasons due to injury problems. Deal an unlikely idea It is easy to see where the option comes from, especially as Mendes also represents Dias. A move for the centre-back at this point would appear rather complex, as Manchester City have already lost Rodri and wouldn’t want to lose another key player.
