Ex-Rovers winger Hedges reunited with Eustace at Derby

Ryan Hedges has joined Derby on a free transfer [Shutterstock] Ryan Hedges has been reunited with John Eustace at Derby County after joining the Rams on a free transfer. The winger, 31, has signed a one-year deal with Derby with the option of another 12 months. Hedges left Ewood Park when his contract expired in the summer after four years in East Lancashire, where he played under Rams boss Eustace from 2024-2025. The former Welsh international, who won three caps, began pre-season training with the Rams last month and played in their friendlies against Alfreton Town and SC Freiburg. Hedges, who becomes Derby's sixth summer signing, has had spells at Aberdeen, where he played in the Europa League and Conference League, Barnsley, Yeovil, Leyton Orient and Stevenage Borough.
