Gunners make offer to 'next Kvaratskhelia' Bartishvili
[Getty Images] Arsenal have made a pre-contract offer to sign Georgia Under-21 international Andria Bartishvili - who has been compared with compatriot and Paris St-Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Gunners have accelerated their interest in the 17-year-old attacker with a view to him arriving in London towards the end of the year when his contract with parent club FC Kolkheti expires. According to sources close to the player, Bartishvili, who is currently on loan at Iberia 1999, is believed to have other options and is still to decide on his next move. Liverpool and Juventus are among the clubs credited with an interest in Bartishvili. The Gunners' move for Bartishvili has been led by sporting director Andrea Berta's assistant Maurizio Micheli, who is credited with unearthing Kvaratskhelia during his time with Napoli, where he was chief scout. The youngster has been likened to Kvaratskhelia in Georgia given their similar attacking attributes. Bartishvili would require the necessary international clearance to complete a move to Arsenal or any other Premier League club.
