🚨 BREAKING: Ezri Konsa 'completes move' from Aston Villa to Arsenal Ezri Konsa has completed his move to Arsenal from Aston Villa in a deal worth £51m, plus a further £4m in potential add-ons. That's according to David Ornstein of the Athletic who says that the England international has signed a four-year contract with the option of a further year after completing his medical with the Premier League champions. Konsa made 286 appearances for Villa after joining the club from Brentford in 2019. He has also won 28 England caps and was part of the squad that reached the semi-finals of this summer's World Cup. The defender started every match for England before their 2-1 semi-final defeat by Argentina, when he came on as a 72nd-minute substitute. Konsa becomes Arsenal's fourth major signing of the summer. The club have already brought in Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United and former Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier. Arsenal begin the defence of their Premier League title at home to newly promoted Coventry City on Friday, while Villa open their campaign away to Brighton on Sunday.
