Coventry's numbers last season

[Getty Images] Championship winners Coventry were undoubtedly the best team in the division, with both the best goal difference and expected goal difference. Their attack was excellent as not only did they score the most goals, they had the most shots and highest expected goals as well. Although three teams were more clinical, Frank Lampard's players still scored 10 more goals than expected given the chances that they had. While they conceded the fewest goals, Coventry weren't quite as impressive overall at the back as four sides gave up fewer shots and had a lower xG against in the Championship. But keeper Carl Rushworth was the best shotstopper in the league in terms of goals prevented (7.7), so it's no surprise that the club were happy to pay £22m this summer to make his move from Brighton permanent.
